Girls Who Code Club (3rd-5th Gr.)

An online Girls Who Code club for 3rd to 5th grade girls will be held during Spring 2022 ( 7 meetings on every other Wednesday @ 5-6 p.m. from Jan 26  to Apr 20.)

We learn Scratch together doing various projects.

Kids will pick up the computer science concept such as order of codes, events, loops, conditionals, function and list through the projects.

Scratch is block-based which is easy to learn and the projects are fun to spark the interest of coding.

Autumn Scratch Art

Kids in kindergarten and up can drop in to make a scratch art leaf or critter.  The project takes about 15 minutes to complete and you are welcome to get started between 4:00 and 5:00.  We will clean up no later than 5:30.

Please note, this craft is done with a pointy wooden stylus and is not safe for younger children.

Paper Halloween Luminaries

Families are invited to make a spooky paper luminary to decorate for Halloween. All ages are welcome to participate with a grown-up.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Each participant will receive one battery-operated tea light, which contains a button battery.  These tea lights MUST be used with adult supervision and kept out of the reach of young children.
